Today I upgraded my Snort 1.3.3 to version 1.4.4. Doing so decreased my IDS log by ten fold!!! Don’t beleave me? Then you tell me why when using 1.3.3 i had over 3k in a normal day’s log, and version 1.4.4 i only have ~30 a day. Most of the reason was that they fixed the ICMP rule. That was ~90% of the issue. Well, I released PHProxySE, can be downloaded via NeoeliteUSA.com. Then I released OpenBASE Alpha 0.6, there was alot of work done to this version so make sure you read the ChangeLog, readme, and erase the old database before using 0.6. One more thing about my work, the LaRue County Inventory system is nearly done. I’m waiting on my boss to draw up some paperwork for me before I continue programming. However, thanks to the help of Greg, I was able to add a TimeFrame Filter to the program. Oh, and i finally added the SMTP classes, however in order to test them it required my GMail Account information. Last but not least i got the sunglasses i need. Polarized, blue-tinted sunglasses.

Wow, I can’t believe it has been four days. Well I replaced my LinkSys router, damn thing was messing up on DHCP requests; most likely bad firmware. I replaced it with a 1.2ghz, 512MB RAM, 20gig Computer with two NIC cards. I installed IPCop 1.4.10 on it, sence which, i have modified it. I will say that I will be releasing a new PHP application via neoelite quite shortly. By shortly i mean as soon as i write the readme file and upload it to the site.
Now about me and my anti-depressants. I have not taking them for the past three days, third one today. Then in front of the whole highschool i start crying my eyes out. Don’t ask me why, for i have not clue. All i can’t tell you is that this is proof that i do indeed need my anti-depressants.

Yeah, One of my bosses uses ISA as a proxy and wanted me to create a log viewer for him. I ended up making it in six hours, inlcuding the time it took me to figure out the damn RegEx that I used to decode the logs. I need to add some filtering capablites at his request. Then I have the Inventory System to show another boss of mine. Then I have yet to complete testing of my PHProxySE which is a my Security Enhanced version of PHProxy which i will make avalible after i test it more on my site and the PHProxy Forums. Now I have this honneypot idea in my mind that i think EVERY server should use. If everyone does it will make hackers really mad. Every server will have fake files they can’t use lol. Though considering i need to make it more secure, I don’t think the whole single script idea would work… I believe the honeypot requires a folder of textfiles and a few scripts.

Yeah, sorry to say, well not really, that there has been nothing going on lately. I did work on the district inventory system yesterday. Big woop. However, at school, C.A.T.S. testing is continuing. Thus nothing really even going on in school. On that note i’d like to gripe ’bout the fact i got the _LONG_ version of the test. Yes, there are different versions. Got in one of my moods last night and desided to get more Evanescence so we’ll see how far that gets me when I feel like starting that up.

I went to see a neurological doctor today. Its offical, I’m a migraine victum. I have a LONG list of things I can’t eat and do. Basicly, I can’t eat anything and I have to wear sunglasses all the time. I one of the activites I can’t do is sleep more then eight hours; no more 12 hour nights. The sunglasses have to be blue tinted and polarized. I can’t drink orange juice anymore ether. That really sux.  So yeah,  in other news, the district wants me to program a inventory system for them. Yay, i can’t wait to waste some time on this piece of crap work. Oh well, they need it and are willing to use it why not? Right?

Well today i helped with a factality meeting today with my two bosses. Then when i came home i had to help my father outside around the house in 90 degree sunshine. I didn’t want to make the same mistake as last time get have my lower arms sunburned again so i went shirtless. Yeah i no, run lol. Then i came in and chilled with the internet finding a nice template that the district will agree on. Thats it.

So today I reprogramed the entire Language System in OpenBASE. Might I sugest to everyone else in the feild of programming: NEVER reprogram your language system AFTER you have programed the project. Had to edit 400 lines of code then add more. The language file itself for the english file is now doubbled its orginal size. Well at least it’s even better then before and easyier for future programmers. So yeah, i had this really big headache last night. Had it this morning too. Frigin good thing i’m allowed painkillers. Speaking of morning, I woke up to the damn cat crying for ten mins straight!!

I have some good news and some bad news to post about today. I’ll take one good then one bad. The first good this is I modded my PC case a little today; I added a switch. In normal mode three 3000RPM fans run. Then when I’m under a lot of heat, I flip the switch, and three 6000RPM fans kick-in to help the 3000RPM ones. Likewise, the first bad thing is I spilt vanilla coffee, yes one of the good kinds, on my keyboard; I cleaned it all don’t worry. Another good thing is OpenBASE Alpha 0.5 is now released and in testing. Now for a bad thing, the weather for the past two days over here has been thunderstorms so my use of the computer has been limited. Now having done a offical post i’d just like to state some thoughts on my mind: No, I have not had the chance at testing out my new fan mod under a heavy load, too bad. Also I can’t wait till the shed my father is building is up. I really want to start modding these computers and selling them. Oh and in case you’re wondering, yeah, it really is ~12:30 in the morning. Started watching king kong at eight; it’s a damn long movie.

Tory called last night, thank you sooooooo^100k much. That was a much needed phone call, as the title suggests. Convenient timing to because the night before i cried myself to sleep thinking about her. We basicly just talked about nothing and I listened to her talk to herself, that always puts a smile on my face. The before and after of the phone call was dramatic, from all depressed to bouncing around lol. She supprized me though when I told her I was all busy on my project and she knew about it, OpenBASE. I was litteraly speachless lol. Well, I’m on spring break this week, I have gotten my letter of recommendation from my old boss Mike, I have programmed a quick website for a friend, released OpenBase Alpha 0.4 and now working on OpenBASE Alpha 0.5, trying to setup a better development team, and working for one of my underground hacker websites. So yeah, i’m a little busy. So busy I installed my secound computer monitor so i can get all of it done at once. lol It’s great!!!! (no, not the cereal)
