Sorry about the late (put mildy eh?) update again. First off, I had my brithday last week (9/12); kinda blah but the good part was I was able to hang out with Carrie for a few hours. Now jump foward to the procedding monday. I successfully got my driver’s permit (first time too). Wensday I had to go to this college thing about an hour drive away for extra credit in my chemistry class. Which now brings us to day… kinda. Today, like every Sunday now, me and Carrie spend the day together. (Today was a strange day, but w/e) Hope I can blog more but I have to go.

All i can say is “Arctic Cooling Silencer 5 Rev. 2, I love you.”. That should be the products slogan catchy ain’t it; I just thought of it too. Well the reason I love it soo much was - running at stock speeds - my graphics card, ATI X800 XT, idled at 59. After the new cooler was installed AND I overclocked the graphic card as much as I could, it idle at 39; thats 20C COOLER! Thats only idling; before the OCing and the new cooling system, under heavy load I was red-lining at 90C and the computer locked up. For all of us who don’t know, if your system hits 90C you run a HUGE chance at melting/frying your system; NEVER RUN ANYTHING - electronic - THAT HOT. After I OC’d the card and installed the new cooler, I wasn’t even getting 60C; thats more then 30C lower on HEAVY LOAD!!! Now the cooling system is ~4x heavier, and easily 5x the size. The best part of all this, IT ONLY COST $25!!! COFFEE!!!

Alright, so I stopped sleeping and started working on my project again. Today’s assignment was to play make-over; I ended up using GoLive for the first time to give my project a nice needed frontend. While I was tweaking the frontend, i managed to fix a few backend issues too, but nothing major. On more of a hardware issue, I was able to figure out why my system randomly shuts down. It appairs that my graphics card, although capible of higher speeds, red-lines at 90C and thus shutsdown; consiquently locking my entire system. Thus I bought the Arctic Cooling Silencer 5 for $25, not bad at all. Once I set that baby up imma over clock even more then it is now. Beside that, however, I was able to tighen up my CPU, Memory, and bus speeds without any issues.
